So I have a set of Ksport Coilovers and since I had to replace a shock after blowing it out, everyone has been telling me not to let the strut shaft rotate when tightening the top nut, as it will damage the shock. However, I've noticed that when I turn the wheels, the camber plate pillow ball bearing and the strut shaft inside it does not rotate. That means that the strut shaft is rotating inside the strut housing when I turn. Is that supposed to happen?

This is contradictory to what everyone has been telling me. I don't see any way that the strut shaft could rotate, as the space in between that and the pillow ball wasn't lubricated from the factory and the pillow ball doesn't appear to want to rotate.

Basically I'm asking is the strut shaft supposed to be stationary when I turn, allowing the strut housing to rotate around it, or are the strut shaft and housing supposed to rotate together?

Hopefully that all make sense, I can post pics/videos if necessary.

Thanks!
