While I have the bluelink service till the end of the year, I haven't decided if I will renew the service, or go with replacing the stock system with an aftermarket head unit and amps, which in turn brings a number of questions:

Has anyone replaced their stock system?
Can the rear view camera be used on an aftermarket unit?
Can the built GPS and XM antennas be used on an aftermarket unit?
Can the built-in USB and Aux ports be used on an aftermarket unit?

I haven't take this car apart yet but I can hypothetically answer these for you.

1. I would contact Metra about this, sometimes the wiring harness includes a output from the camera, if not you still could find the wires and solder on a RCA tip.
2. GPS, almost 100% no, XM,sometimes you can get an adapter for the plug and it works, you still will need the SXV200 tuner.
3. Yes, typically you just splice them in because they are normal wires behind the plug.

The question is, why do you want to get rid of it? It integrates so nicely into the car, anything aftermarket won't even come close.

Well for me, my main reason is because I do not have navigation, just the regular head unit. I've even thought about buying the navigation head unit straight from Hyundai, but for the amount the are charging for it, I could get and aftermarket HU, all speakers replaced, and even some subs, lol.

Still not 100% sure which way I will go yet, but heavily leaning towards aftermarket. Will probably get a Pioneer HU (like the AVHX8500BHS), because it has AppRadio mode in it. I've been using the first gen AppRadio in my previous cars with almost no issues. Plus I like being able to use nav apps like Waze and MotionX on my touchscreen in the car.

Decisions, Decisions, lol.

Why not just get a nice garmin and hard wire it down in the pocket? I have been thinking about that. Cheaper, better maps, and keeps everything factory. The Nav on the AVICs suck, I don't like Waze at all, never used MotionX.

I guess to each their own. Waze has been simply amazing for me. When I first started with the AppRadio, I was only using MotionX. It's a great app and all, but when I needed to search for things around me, by category, it just didn't amount to the same things like Waze does. The fact that Waze gives you the traffic info, police traps, great navigation, in addition to being able to look up POI locations through multiple services (Foursquare, Yellowpages, Yelp, Google, etc...) is just a great all around service to me.

Although I do have a spare Garmin laying around somewhere, so I could do what you said for the time being and just put that in the bottom area, but in the end I just want a touch screen nav interface.

BTW, the Pioneer unit I linked above was not a Nav unit, it was only DVD unit that has AppRadio mode in it. So I would be using the same apps I've been using for the last 2 1/2 years now with no real issues.

I love Waze lol it give me candy sometimes hahahahahaha
Lol, yea, that's one thing that has always been pointless to me about Waze.... the candy.

I didn't use in depth so maybe I missed out on it. I might be getting a Garmin soon here and doing what I said, if I do I will post up pictures. I could not give up the functionality of the steeringwheel/voice commands just for navigation. I don't travel too much so nav isn't big for me.
