Custom exhausts

Well I have had my VT for a month now and I love it. I have been looking into adding an intake and exhaust. My issue is I don't really care for the sound from the Solo exhaust. I have Magnaflow on my V8...granted that's a whole other animal with cam, heads, long tube headers, and a custom tune...and have always loved the Magnaflow sound. So I was thinking about custom fabbing my own exhaust. Using all 3" mandrel bent tubing and a 5" x 8" x 18" oval Magnaflow 3" center in/out muffler. I would love to take the dual tips and turn it into a big ass single exit, but would probably end up going with either the current tips or swapping to a nice set of dual tips, maybe like the styling of a Corsa tip or the Magnaflow tips.

So who has any input on this? Think its a good idea? Anything you would do different?

Unfortunately exhaust topics tend to get a little heated on this forum for some reason. People are probably just avoiding this thread because of that. If you like Magnaflow, PM Pierce and pick his brain. He's played around with different combos of MF mufflers.

Just that this topic has been debated to death. I kept the stock diameter piping and put a magnaflow 2.5" center in out 4" diameter and I think 16" length. I also left the rear resonators on. I love the sound. Sounds throaty to me definitely not weed eater sounding. I also removed the stock tips and put magnaflow 4" double wall rolled end stainless tips on. I may do something more if we get a turbo upgrade, but for now I'm happy with what I have.
