I'm determined to paint/wrap my car, but have not been able to find good info online. I want to go from a marathon blue to a dark sky blue like the one in this pic http://cdn.mkimg.carview.co.jp/minkara/userstorage/000/002/582/299/572fd863e9.jpg I already decided on the wheels seeing how much this paint makes them stand out here is a quick photoshop any advice on which one is better? methods? places recommended around Tri-state area? average prices? advantages and disadvantages? Help is greatly appreciated. Land vehicle Vehicle Car Automotive design Hyundai veloster

personally I would go with a crazy color. something that doesnt look like it could come from the factory if I am going to spend that type of money. If you are dead set on blue, maybe this would work? its a dark blue matte color. looks pretty cool.

I really like the dark bluish purple as well.

Why don't u start small to see if u like the look initially. Try the side mirrors, skirts, fog lights cover, etc. I wouldn't wrap the whole car, but that's just my opinion. If u do decide to paint ur entire vehicle make sure the guy/shop its an experienced 1. Pay attention to the paint mix %, neatness and type of equipment they use. Price dsnt necessarily means better quality. Rule of thumb, if it looks sloppy it will b reflected in your car. I don't know much about mech components, but i did used to play a lot w paint years ago. Good luck.

Well I actually like that factory look, which is why I would have it painted but it seems like painting is more of a chance since it could turn out great or it could turn out awful, so wrapping seems more like a guarranteed thing plus I could undo it if I wanted to.

Personally I'd stick with what you have now. That blue is a hard color to find, I wanted to buy a Blue Ultimate Package Turbo but I couldn't find one anywhere.

I think it looks nice now, but hey that's just me. I am a sucker for just a nice clean stock look, tinted windows maybe wheels, I see cars with stickers all over them and I cringe. I like a nice two tone like you got there with the blue and the black, looks clean, looks good.

Yeah I'm with you on the stickers..I would've chosen the dark blue if it was available from the start

I do like that factory blue though, definitely not a lot of them running around.

Wrapping is expensive, but it's the way to go beacuse you can always remove it when you get tired of it or if you want to sell it. Also protects the paint. Down here in Miami matte is the Craze. I was at the wrap shop the other day & there were 3 AMG's, an M5, a Maseratti, & an Jag F type with paper plates...Getting my roof done black :)

I got a quote $2400 for a full wrap....but I am taking into consiredation the first few post advice...if you're gonna do it do something crazy and extravagant not just factory look...I am sure paint would be more expensive and take longer...idk I am gonna keep this idea in the oven until I see something I really like.

Actually went with my cousin to get an estimate to get an estimate to repaint his car (Honda paint is terrible and faded over the years in Florida sun) total came out to $2500
