So i love washing and waxing my car and i seem to be really good at it i usually detail my family's cars. But iv learned everyone has a special way of cleaning and i always love hearing new techniques. Does anybody have any cool, fun tricks that they cant leave the driveway with out doing or puts just that last finishing touch on? Would love to know.

I had been washing mine at the local hand wash place. I started to wash at home recently and broke out my Zymol Carbon wax but i do see some swirls in the shine from hand buffing the wax. How do you suggest keeping that from happening? Do you use a buffer or do it by hand?

Well iv found that if u wax it in the shade and u do 1 panel at a time and dont let the wax just sit on it. It will definitely prevent swirls.

I do the same procedure, I wax by hand with the little foam pad. I have a great results with Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax (http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/g18216-ultimate-wax-liquid/
Yeah Meguiars makes rly good stuff so does mothers. I actually have a detailing polish i forgot the name. I'll go look at what it is. But it makes the paint look like glass then i also Use the Mothers Back to Black Trim polish since there is so much plastic trim. It gives it a deep luscious color, looks great!

Haven't even thought of using trim polish. Need to get some after work tomorrow.

I use all Meguiar's products myself.

High pressure rinse
Hand wash, 2 bucket method
High pressure rinse again
Hand dry
Clay bar
Polish
Wax

That's the full routine. Maintenance with hand washing and Quik Detailer.

In the south "love bugs" can be a real pain in the ass. I always use fabric softening dryer sheets on the front bumper for any bugs or road debris & newspaper on the windows for a streak free finish.

I use the turtlewax black detailer and turtlewax ice...seems to work pretty well. The trick to no scratch/swirls is light pressure. I have to use to buckets to wash too...a wash and a rinse bucket. soapy water in one and rinse in the clean water before dipping back into the soap and back to car.
