Very cool. I had heard that he might be coming out with an exploit for the newer head unit software. I'll have to keep my eye on this, but for now I'm happy with the stock options.
My HU already has pictures installed on if factory unless it's a different version, cool stuff though I'll defiantly be picking it upIt does install 'pictures' to the HU which are for loading the sound drivers for the Interface.
Follow the link that Turbosocks posted on the original post, and there is a section that explains step by step how to install the unlock batch and which code to enter, which is 90019001. With this code you can watch video while driving but not via the USB, it is via the AUX. So if you have a portable DVD player, or iPod Legacy you can connect it to the AUX with a 4-post cable (or A/V 3.5mm cable). On newer iPods you need to use the correct cable and use the A/V cable that Hyundai provided with the yellow, red, and white RCA connectors. To view from USB, you need to use the ELA viewer. How do you enter codes in?
Does this in any way void any of the warranty?
How would they ever know? "Removal" instructions are included on the linked page from OP first post. Just don't invite a cop over for a ride and movie and you should be fine.Bumping for this.. Could someone address this?
No issues here. It is easy to install. And as long as you follow instructions, you will get it going in no time. Just make sure you have uploaded a picture to your HU before trying to play videos. There are quirks with it though: like if you raise the volume via the HU knob or the steering wheel it cuts out the video for a few seconds, and if you have a rear cam, when you switch to reverse it cuts off the video all together (which is understandable). The volume can be raised via the player interface and it will not stop the video.went ahead and bought the software but have not installed it yet..
The install doesnt look complicated, just mildly irritating.. Anyone have any complaints about it yet?
I still have my reservations on setting it up.
ehh, its more along the line of if I forget, or say it in an accident and I am unable to change this, or the USB port breaks off.. Some circumstance that the dealer ends up with my car and finds the software modification. Guess I could always use the excuse of "It was like that when I bought it".. but still, just good info to know
Its like the equivalent of overclocking a CPU.. They cant really prove you did it unless you damaged the CPU in a certain manors, but it technically voids your warranty.
