So I decided to give this dipping a try after seeing it for my first time on this forum. I have the matte paint so was kind of worried, but everything turned out alright for this noob.:) I did the tails and rear reflectors and have the gas cover a makeover as well. Give me your thoughts.

i think thats the only time a matte tail light has looked good lol
Yeah, I was gonna say, that turned out good.

Did you use black, or did you use the plasti dip smoke? I want to black mine out, on my Boston red and I'm debating on which route to go. Matte might be cool because I have matte graphics, and I'm plasti dipping the roof matte black too.

I used the regular black. I was trying to go for a matte finish on the tails. I've seen people use the glossifier but I didn't want that shine.

That gas cover needed something without going over the top, you found it. Lights look nice too. Thanks for posting the pics.

Looks great man... Are you going to black out the wheels too?
I'll black them out here soon (until i get new wheels and tires), but I was gonna play with dipping my front 2 outside doorhandles and the orange part of my front headlights (just the upper corners). I'll post pics tomorrow when I finish that.:) The best part...if it doesn't look good, peel it off and try again.

Well...instead of just the upper corners of the headlights, I decided to try some eyelids...didn't go as well as I hoped. :( I couldn't figure out how to make a clean tape line with plasti dip. I had to carefully cut it with a razor blade and it still looks kinda bad. Anyways I'm happy with the door handles.

If anyone has an easy way to tape off plasti dip and create some clean lines, I'm all ears! Adding some graphics would be fun!

I dig the eyelids though, looks good from where I'm sitting. Great idea, too!
I just wonder if you could get in trouble with the Po Po since the orange makers are blacked out now?
Worth a shot though ;).
