Hi guys and girls.

I have a rattle coming from the front passenger door and I have not idea how to stop it.

1- If I drive alone and I put my hand on the window while driving the noise goes away.
2- If I drive alone and I put my hand on the plastic area of the door the noise goes away.
3- If I ask someone to seat on the front passenger seat the rattle goes away!!!!!!!!

So now I dont really know from where exactly that noise ( rattle) is coming from :( but what I do know is that the same rattle is replicating in different areas of the car.

This is Driving me CRAZY!!!!! :( :nerd:

Can anyone help me please?

I had an issue like this too, but it turned out I just had a lighter that fell into the door compartment and that was vibrating, can you post a video?

you have any loose items in the door compartment/bottle holder or door handle? If not, then thats about as far as my experience with a rattling door goes
nope, my car is clean, I have nothing inside.

I think we should have a sticky thread with Rattle and solutions!!! that way it will be easy to keep all rattling problems in the same thread :)

lol, it's a little strange though that it doesn't rattle if you have a passenger (more weight) in the car.

Deformation in the unibody. The weight of the passenger makes everything settle into place.

Close a bit of cardboard into the bottom of the door and see if it stops the noise?

If it does you'll need to install a Pierce Motorsport 6-point chassis brace and a STB... :D

Tomorrow I am going to buy some Dynomat to see if that helps, I will install it in all the door

My VT has no rattles or odd noises at all.

Like most new cars the VT has adjustments for the doors and body panels. I'd have the dealer deal with that under the 1yr/12k everything warranty.

The VT does lack sound deadening and can be pretty loud on the road. I'm considering some sound deadening sheets for my VT but that is a different issue than a rattle.

The VT is quiet compared to cars like Mazda 3. My GF 2012 Mazda 3 is loud as F on the freeway. Compared to the VT she said she can nap or even talk on the phone without having to shout
