Honestly i dont know. They have to crack the pcm then shops will have to have the software to do it. Within a year a few companies will have canned tunes for sale but as far as dyno tuning theres no point unless you get very modified.

Not very true, with just an S-AFC on DSMs I've seen increases of up to 25 whp, smoother power band, and better gas mileage. I raced a guy in an s13 that ran 13s all day long in the 1/4 mile with an S-AFC a while back so it's not isolated to just DSMs.

Yeah thanks kyle. I will never say a tune isnt worth it. Im just saying a dyno tune isnt necessary or for that matter necessarily as good as a canned tune that you datalog.
if you data log a canned tune it's custom ;) but yea.. I was tuned by trifecta performance with my ion for a long time and thats how he did his he'd send you a base tune based on your mods, then you datalog and tweak from there.. I'm trying to get him to jump on the hyundai bandwagon but he said the ecm encryption is a beast, but it's something he'd definitely be interested in ... esp because he'd be a big shoe hold on the market.. but unless we coughed up like 40k it's not something he's going to stop everything and produce (which makes sense)
