I'm curious if this has ever happened to anyone here. So I'm driving on the turnpike today and one of the newer Evos, blue with the big spoiler, rolls up on me. There is a good amount of traffic but everyone is about going 50. I look over and the guy is staring me down really hard. This goes on for a few minutes and he is going up to the car in front of him dropping back down all the time looking over in my direction. I eventually exited. Did this guy want to run it or was he wishing he rolled up on me on an empty high way?

the VT is well known for being a neck breaker.... everybody stares lol

I have had people chase me down to have me pull over, lean out their windows to take pics, and people ask about it at least a couple times a week when I walk up to it or away from it.....

He was probly trying to see if you would follow him for a little cat and mouse racing. I've been known to do that to other people haha But its also true that so many passerbys can't help but stare. Whenever I'm on the highway and see someone pass by staring I just floor it on it by them and give em a show

He prolly was trying to figure out when hey released the new EVO liftback you were driving. Then he kept slowing down looking for the badges . Or he was picking a race fight with you knowing full well his engine was twice your size and would blow you away in a one sided race. Just feel better knowing he paid twice what you did for his car and that his insurance is twice what you pay.

I live in so cal and I've been chased down by people trying to see what kind of car I have the ask to take pics or the ask me to pull over so they can see my vt most of them can't believe it's a hyundai

i get stopped or walked up on and asked is that the 3 door car!! then i end up showing them but this car turns heads no matter what... and it seems the glass roof n 3rd door are the magnets

I was putting in my license plate LED bulbs a couple of evenings ago and a neighbor walked up my driveway and started asking me about the car. He had so many questions and the mosquitoes were so bad that I had to fake needing to leave so I could get rid of the old codger .

Another time I came out of the mall and some guy was standing behind it starting at it, he asked my what it was (no VELOSTER badge, no H's - just the TURBO badge and V's all around) he thought it was something domestic. Had a bunch of questions about the options and could not believe that it had 200 HP. He surmised that in a car that size that it must be a lot of fun to drive - and he's right!

And of course I get a lot of looks at lights or when overtaking a car (getting that double take from the driver, LOL). That's in a week. I live in a largish city (1 million) but I don't see a lot of Velosters on the road.

The only other one I've seen besides at the dealer was a 2012 NA that I saw last Saturday at the pub. I parked beside him and when I came out there was a note on my windshield that sad "fantastic ride, I should have waited a year and splurged on the Turbo". LOL. Side by side there was not a tonne of differences, but the backend is a lot more exotic looking on the 13VT, the tail lights are way, way better (same with the headlights). That and a few more less obvious things like the mirror indicators. It was like looking at a pair of sisters you could easily tell they were related but one was definitely the less pretty sister...

Not stared down but I was flying down left lane of 2 lane hyway when at last second this dumb ass in a Honda accord jumps out in front of me. I slam on breaks to avoid hitting him, he thinks I'm riding his ass so he taps his breaks and starts arguing at me in his mirror. He slows down so much that about 10-12 cars pass us on right. When it's finally open I start to pass him on right and he tries to cut me off I just kept going, laughing at him cause I never let him piss me off. Always wondered why people think its their job to regulate my driving

I am walking out of my apartment and see a woman and a man looking through my dark tints trying to see inside. haha so i do what any respectful guy who clearly sees opportunity to fuck with someone does.. i hide behind a car haha and set my alarm off.. haha there faces were priceless and they started to walk in opposite directions till i told em hey i was just messing with you . since i have no model badges they said is this a new concept from hyundai .. they loved it and thought the 3 doors were awesome!! in the end she walked off telling him .. you see .. we could trade in our piece of $#!t for one of those. ahha GOOD TIMES.

I had a father and son stop me in my parking garage once and literally go ga ga over it. I had another guy park his new CL 63 AMG, walk over to me to tell me my car looked good.

My car definitely gets stares on the highway and earlier tonight was the third time that someone approached me to ask questions while I was getting in my car.
