To keep the footrest clean (the foot space to the left of the clutch), any ideas as far as covering it ?

aluminum foil. plastic saran wrap. a towel. piece of paper that the dealerships use to "keep your car clean" while they work on it.

They call them "dead pedal" covers in other forums. Wonder if I can just velcro an extra pedal cover to it...

Well, every month I clean it ...and don't use any of covers for it...u got to dedicate bit of your time to detail your car and keep shiny and clean.
