Wow.. 850.. my kit will be looking at around 300$ cheaper and will come with everything needed. Interested to see what 300$ more buys.

end of next week? damn I wish you had pictures now lol

what brand core? does it come with a BOV? what brand BOV

the price isnt that crazy depending on quality of materials/ product

figure 300-400 for a good FMIC

300- 400 for pipes

and 200-300 for a good bov

that being said the GB price isnt really off from normal price an buying things separate normally with buying buying a package you get things a bit cheaper

bar and plate style intercooler by jp autoworks. the piping will have a flange on it for a greddy style bov. he said bov will be additional. I'll talk to him and see if we can work out a better price.

Wow.. so with a bov it will be around 1000$. Damn.

The kit I am working on will have the bov and everything, completely bolt on for under 600$. It will be a dense bar and plate intercoolerlso.

it looks like they do good work, I'm wondering who the company is that makes the core for the front mount though, unless they make their own.. but to be honest it seems like a universal one (no name) with custom pipes

I'm not trying to discourage him from doing it .. I'm just looking at it from a realistic price point of view. as well as seeing what the community would be paying for.

I would recommend maybe him offering a greddy flange or a stock flange for the bov.. people wouldnt have to worry about getting a new bov. OR they could use the forge or hks stock replacements.

I've made a handful of piping setups for my car and a couple friends.. but I don't want to be putting that much work/R&D into this car lol I've proto'd enough stuff for my personal cars and dealt with that bs enough lol

Can I get a link to the site?

I wish it was something like this, I actually think something like this would work..
Piranha Racewerks Garrett Intercooler Core

Also, the intercooler shouldn't be +600 dollars... please view above to see why..
good point of reference .. considering thats a garrett fmic and it's still the same price you're saying for the full fmic setup

Stock is fine for daily driving but once you get on it for a while or if you do any race type driving it will heat soak fassstt.. Ijust would never pay 1000$ for a full fmic kit unless it was using a very high end custom sized core and end tanks for the car... the kit I am working on will use an existing off the shelf ic but will fit the car well in every aspect.

Hey why not just start your own intercooler thread, instead of hijacking this one....

true.. with a different DA, the results will not be very accurate.. a DA change from 5000-1000 can make a major difference in how the power dyno results are.
