So the VT is supposed to have a 13.2 gallon fuel tank. I'm on my 5th fill-up and I've ran the tank down until the low fuel light comes on and the display says --- mile to empty.

The most I've ever put in the tank to fill it up is 11.5 gallons.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is the dash fuel gauge just that conservative?

I think it is a bit conservative.
Since the "--- miles to empty" appears right around 30+ miles left I think that they throw that warning sign way early.
Better safe than sorry?!?

Almost 2 gallons seems real conservative.

Maybe GDI motors really don't like to run out of gas.

My 2010 Kia Forte did this as well.
It has about a 13 Gallon Tank as well.
I usually drive for 20 more miles after the light has come on and when I fill her up I get about 12 Gallons.

That sounds about right.
Even 20 miles after the light I have 1.5-2Gallons left.

I am trying to figure out how accurate the MPG meter is on the car, Only i need an exact volume for the remaining fuel at the light indication. is it listed anywhere.?

It may vary due to driving style, sometimes my car lights up at 65 miles to empty but when I'm behaving light comes on at 48 mte

I don't run it til it's empty, so I guess it doesn't matter. As soon as the lights come on, I find a station and fill er up. I guess it's good to know how long until it stop running when the lights turn on, but I wouldn't push my luck.

I agree. I have no desire to push my luck by running the car on fumes. Keep in mind that the DTE is based on your average MPG so any variation on the gas pedal will not truly reflect the actual distance the car will travel on the available fuel.

In my experience the light comes on with 2.5-3 gallons left and shows "--- miles left to empty" with about 2 gallons left.

I've only got about 4 fill ups and mpg on the dash seems pretty accurate.

Light came on and I filled up a while later with only about 10.5 gallons. LOL
