Hello I found a G4FJ engine manufacturer in China that distributes for Kia and Hyundai what I wanna know is will this fit my 2013 Hyundai Veloster 1.6 turbo it’s a G4FJ motor
But I think the compression ratios are different
The second gen was revised with 10:1 compression and the 2013-15 have 9:5:1
I found the motors for wholesale price coming around $2000 shipped to your door.
the motor is also stamped Tgdi
Does anyone have any idea or any knowledge about this? They don’t make motors for the 13-15 I’m guessing? I mean how would I buy a brand new 2013 Veloster 1.6 engine?
Would this still work with the compression ratio?

Would a 2016 VT fit a 2013VT

17 and older are all compatible.

The 2016 engine is compatible with the 2013 model. Just make sure you or the shop mounts the transmission correctly. My old Veloster when the engine blew I replaced mine with a 2016 block with no issues. Also, it's important to note that the 2013 cannot use the 2015+ coil packs.

Just bought a motor with 130k and 1 year warranty 2014 though hope it’s better then the 13..
