Gasoline Odor in Cabin

8060 Views 13 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  Ivanotela
My VT just hit 500 miles and every now and then I'll notice a slight odor of gasoline in the cabin while driving. The smell lasts for maybe 30 seconds and then goes away completely. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something to be concerned about?

Troll!

So America, Canada, Japan, Germany and a dozen other countries all tested dozens of Velosters each and they all certified them for import and all of these countries failed to identify a basic design flaw and failed to monitor carbon monoxide levels in the cabin?

And Hyundai which has put more cars than any other manufacturer in the JD Edwards top 10 list for initial quality for 4 years running and achieves 6 Sigma in quality and puts 7 miles on every car they ship to ensure 6 Sigma quality also failed to identify this problem?

Troll!
Do you know what a troll is? Discussing a legitimate fault we have with our brand new cars is not trolling. Nobody is knocking Hyundai's overall quality, but there is clearly a problem with a number of Velosters. It happens to almost every make/model in the industry. We didn't buy brand new vehicles just so we could troll fellow owners. Get a grip.
