Click on the Info/Setup button on the right side under your GPS screen, then click on Display. There you can choos Automatic, Day, or Night. When I choose Night, mine gets substantially more dark, but theMine barely changes. Overly bright at night for my tastes.
The day, night or auto is for the GPS map, not the brightness of the screen. Look under the setup for the GPS, you should find it there. I think!!! Don't have the manual with me here...Just picked mine up tonight, and have notice this also. Although I can't find an option for day, night or auto, there is just low mid high for brightness. I have it on low and it is still too bright for my liking. Button on the bottom left just off the screen though turns the screen off for me so I'm happy enough with that![]()
Build a hood from plasti-card?Everyone here is talking about it being to bright at night, problem I have is during the day. in direct sunlight I can't see anything on the screen. Tried messing around with the settings but doesn't help. Any ideas?
Yes but at least we a button on the left of the console which has a little crescent moon on it which turns the display completely off and is very useful if doing long night drives without the need for it to be on.The American and Australian GPS headunit system is COMPLETELY different. Very frustrating as we in Aus miss out on a lot of features.
