I have always kept the time on my VT's clock with the GPS time. However, when DST terminated this past Saturday, the clock was off by one hour (of course). So I had to change the clock setting to NOT use the GPS time, and manually correct the time. While in GPS mode, the system won't let you adjust the clock at all, AND it doesn't take into consideration that I have selected to use DST. Why is the GPS time not changing from DST to regular time? Any ideas?

I got my car saturday. NEW. It was off an hour so I started messing with the clock and put it to manual setting. I then started thinking that maybe it had already switched to daylight savings time early. So I switched it back to GPS clock and waited till morning to see if there was a change. There was none, So it had switched early. I don't think that the "daylight" button means daylight savings time. Because it didn't do anything when I pressed it. One thing you could do is just reset it and let it recalabrate. Disconnect battery or you can use the paper clip method.
So your clock is set to the wrong time.
Are you in manual or gps?
Are you having problems getting it back into gps? I guess I am confused as to the actual problem to be able to help.

I am currently in manual time, not using the GPS time. Before the time change, I was using the GPS and it was also set to daylight for (DST). But when time changed on Saturday, on Sunday I noticed the clock was off (ahead) by an hour. Seems that the GPS time setting does not take into consideration the settings for Daylight. So I took it off from GPS to manually fix the time. Then I put back the GPS and it changed the time again by one hour. So clearly GPS does not have the correct time. So my question was if anyone knew why GPS did not change automatically like any PC or like the cells that change the time automatically.

Ok. I got you. I'm sorry I thought you were asking something else. Like I said I got mine on Saturday. It was off an hour as if it had already switched. So I just waited a day and then it was correct. I would still try resetting it. battery disconect for a few or just the paper clip up by the eject button.

Thanks, I will try to set it back to GPS today and see how it behaves. I will let you know...

I have this same problem too... I'm in the clock settings but it won't let me change the time.. How do you set it to manual mode? Someone with a video (really now?) displaying how its done lol.
You need to take off the GPS time option. Then you can change it manually.

It was confusing to me at first as well so I did what I do best and played around with settings. Ultimately, I left mine on GPS time but checked off the DST and the correct time displays. One would think that the DST button would mean yes or no (use DST or not) and the system would adjust the time based on whether you are in DST or not just like a windows based computer. Apparently it instead means simply on or off i.e DST checked on....... it adds the hour, DST checked off...... it drops back an hour.

Yes that's what I figured but when I turn off the DST option, the time remained the same (wrong). I gotta try this again, now when I get off work.

Update: Ok, It is so simple to fix this that I feel stupid now, lol!!!!

For those with Navi all you need to do is go to the clock settings and make sure the GPS time is on and just turn OFF the Daylight option. But here is where I went wrong. You must hit DONE before the time changes. And that is it! Since I was expecting the time to adjust as soon as I hit the Daylight button, I jumped to the conclusion that it was not doing anything....but I was wrong. Hit the DONE button for any changes to take place.

I tried again last night also, and found the same resolution. While not a problem, I was expecting to see the time change in a fashion similar to my other systems that use a remote time source and that is what threw me at first.

Yes I am aware of this tsb, but it is only for those without Navigation, I think!
