Okay, now I'm pissed. I just called my local dealer to check status and the salesman is telling me the status is "at sea." WTF? He called ME on Monday and said that it was at port and was getting the rear air diffuser replaced due to some kind of recall then would be on its way. I'm glad I haven't put any $$ down yet.

It's not like you couldn't get your deposit back if you decided to cancel even after the car arrives.

I agree though, the wait is the hardest part. I'm in AZ and just received an email from my local dealer telling me their shipment just arrived in Los Angeles docks today so they'll be here next week.

Wait for it Quagmire327, it is worth it. Is not like you don't have a car now right? I was looking for a black one auto, but it was going to take too long and I was going to be left without a car, so I saw a white one today at my local dealer and bought it on the spot.

Lucky you. I may hold out for it. My car is getting on my nerves but it runs. I guess this gives me more time to collect a bigger down payment. I'm really in love with the Marathon Blue especially after seing Broken Ears' photos.

Yes the blue is beautiful, so is the red, the black and the vitamin c, but I had very little time before my current lease is due, so I was pretty open to any color (except the matte grey, although it is beautiful, it is too much work). My previous cars were green, silver, black, and grey, so white is a change. I leased it, and yes the bigger the down payment the better. So hold out for it, but go by the dealers every now and then to check. I found mine just by luck, and no sales guy knew they had it on the lot.

Turbo,
I hate to say it but, you have to make hay when you can. You are most likely to see 2-3k over sticker asking prices, all prices of course are neogiable. We are asking $30,224.00 plus taxes and fees, for the Matte Grey auto, with Ultimate package. I am willing to consider any REASONABLE offer.

ha ha.. I love the way you are trying to make hay when you can and making it sound like your customer is making hay - In a few months the whole cookie will crumble and we would be seeing 1000 less than MSRP + incentives +0% APR... Why would Hyundai not make more cars if they are able to sell. For that kind of money you are cruising into different class of vehicle altogether.

I would never openly admit on a forum that you are exploiting the customers by making "hay". Hyundai never intended you to squeeze people just because you see an opportunity. It has an MSRP for a reason. and along with what vgun said, when the focus ST and other competition rolls in you will be hard pressed to unload these already over priced Turbos.....although..... I will most likely be getting one unless some one tries to "squeeze" me.
