Head unit never loads past the Veloster logo

Hi team, I've been working this issue for a few weeks. When I turn on the car the screen shows the VEloster logo. It cycles three times, but the functions never display.
I disconnected the battery and discharged the circuits, no change. Reset button, no change.
It seems to me that maybe the screen has a stored veloster image, and the unit is unable to access a drive containing Windows CE. Think I'm right?
Aftermarket head unit is $900 to install, i'm looking for a lower cost option.

Upgrade your system. The OEM HU's are trash
the backend stuff on the HU is hit or miss, usually miss.

belsee makes a fantastic drop in unit for much much less than 900 bucks installed.
Have you tried reinstalling/updating the HU software? I believe it is as simple as plugging in a USB with the software ISO file on it.

I have not tried that, do you happen to have any idea where I can get the ISO file?
Sure, try this thread out. I used it to fix my non-nav bluetooth issues:

And I think I saw another thread in here for a more recent update. Try searching "iso file" on the forum.
A few people on here promoted Belsee units. I can tell you first hand that I am very unhappy with this unit. They promised that backup camera and steering wheel controls would work. Two harnesses later, no, these don't work. Getting the CarPlay to work took a while, and updating the OS is not easy, instructions are in Mandarin, poor support. Recommend against!
That super stinks… the used seicane china unit I bought has a separate rear camera but they said the wheel will work. Still no time yet to give it a go and install it.
