Hey Stone Axe, here in Aus we have our first schedule service at 1000k's (up to 1500k's) or 1 month.

I'm keeping the revs low, keeping it under 4000rpm 99% of the time

First service here includes changing the oil (unusually for cars these days). But this is something I always do with new engines anyway. I thought first service was 1,500 or one month?

Yeah the saleslady said 1000k's or one month, the sticker says 1500k's, I'll prob book it in for mid Jan when I have a day off for my bday

If you do the first oil change at 1000km you don't get the benefits of flushing out all of the initial run-in metal particles. The next sump full of oil will then end up being contaminated. So make it as close to 1,500km as possible, or if you can't then make it a bit later (I drove mine to Sydney so the first oil change was 1,700km).

Just booked mine in for it's first services on the 10th of Jan ... I have 480k's on it atm, a trip to the Gong and a bit of running around in the new year should be thereabouts 1500k's

Did u get yours from Albion Park or North Wollongong. Went to both those dealerships (same owners) to check out colours before deciding on the Battleship which was the demo car in Canberra. The young lady at North Wollongong was really helpful (cute as well) and while we were there discovered that the manager went to school with my wife .. they talked old times for about an hour while me and the cute salesgirl listened on lol.

We usually spend a good week at the Gong at this time of the year but have to get back to Canberra for our trip to Sydney, do the bridge climb, see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and catch a Sydney FC game.

Anyway enjoy the beast when you get it ... we visit the Gong quite often so might see you sometime
