When my car is cold in the morning, it idles at 1500rpm. It will eventually drop to around 750-800 rpm after about 30 seconds. The car runs perfectly fine and this behavior is so far consistent.

So, has anyone else experienced the high idle rpm with your VT?

30 seconds seems kind of long tho.
All my previous vehicles would make the idle adjustment to the 700-800 range after about 3-5 seconds..

I've only had mid size SUVs but they all returned to low idle very quickly.. Not sure if or why this would be any different on a Turbo car.. Can you double check the time.. I would say up to 10 seconds is probably fine, but 30 seconds seems excessive and may point to an issue with the TPS

Yeah, if the idle gets too low it'll run pretty rough, but even then a lot of times thats an issue with the TPS.. 700-800 is generally a good median between high and low and should be smooth..

I dont yet have my VT but I'm sure a few owners could stop-watch this for you to see if this is normal or not.
