Hey all,

Sitting around dreaming of that glorious day when I get my awesome new VT I have many things going through my mind such as mods and the like.

I'm undecided about the exterior, while I plan on plasti-dipping the H emblems, I'm also thinking about the lip and lower skirts, then I thought about the wheels and what if the chrome inserts were to match the lip etc?

Anyway, I did a quick Photoshop to get an idea and I don't know, I'd like your opinions please and suggestions if you feel like it. The colour is not set in stone, not sure if I want bright highlights or dark. Naturally a plasti-dip on the chrome inserts would look different to the Photoshop but it gives a reasonable indication I think.

All thoughts welcome - even if you don't like it as I can't decide.

Actually I've had another thought. Perhaps if I plasti-dip the wheels black (which would look awesome with the matte finish of the car) and what would be really cool is to get the chrome inserts painted black chrome - that is if there is such a thing. Anyone know? Failing that I have some gun metal grey hammer finish spray paint which could look pretty cool. I used it on my pinball machine lock-down bar and rails and it's tops.

Oh and how long does the plasti-dip take to dry? Wouldn't mind doing it before I get it home (I have a 1700km drive home from the dealer I'm buying it from and a few days up my sleeve after delivery).

I would wait until you get home GBH. Give yourself a chance to think about everything before ripping into everything you want to do.
I waited a few days after getting mine before doing anything and I reckon this is the way to go.

Once I get my VT I already have the dip color code for one close to this. I was thinking of the synergy green that came on the camaro.

This is what I did when I had my Zed... body work still needed alot of work but I was tired of the primer at the time
