I just installed my Injen SRI. Install was a breeze but just like the previous owner mention and just like it mentions in the instruction, it is sitting right on the fuel line.

I used a few extra washers to gain some clearence but it's still making contact. The fuel line has a pretty thick rubber covering but it still don't like the idea of the intake basically sitting right on the line. It almost seems like the mounting bolt is about .5" too short.

Comments, suggestion, etc.

Oh and it sounds great too.

Yeah I'm gonna head to Home Depot and buy a longer bolt. Use that whit some washers and the rubber by hints and it should be good.

I wonder if anyone has ever contacted Injen a bout this. It's mentioned in the instructions but no solution is provided. Seem kinda half a$$ed on their part.

This is what happens when you make an intake out of two 90 degree bends, things don't fit.

Anything hitting the fuel line is bad! The rubber is thick but after 80K miles of rubbing it will rub through that line and cause a fuel leak with possible fire.

I ran into the same problem when I was building our intake, that damn rubber line is right in the way. This is why our intake has two 45 degree bends at the back of the engine, to clear the rubber line and to make sure we have proper clearance around the engine cover, hoses, and other misc lines. Sure we could have done it with two 90 degree bends, but you need to take a little pride in what you build!

With that said (sorry about the rant, I just hate it when brand names build crap), if you want an option for different colors or want an intake that is dyno proven check out our section.

It just has to be adjusted. I took 5 extra minutes and adjusted my Injen so it was not touching the fuel line. Nothing extra needed.
Nothing extra needed on mine either
