Currently the wife's 2013 VT is having an intermittent starting issue where she'll get in the car, close the door, press the start button and there is zero electrical response. It's a push button start auto and it seems like whatever process should start the car is getting stopped by not receiving the right signal from the key or whatever box should be delivering power to whatever relay runs the starter is shutting down everything in the car. Nothing will work until the key is taken out of range and then everything comes back on fine again. Has anyone run into this issue before?

I thought it might have been the starter at first but it seems odd that the starter would be affected by key distance from the car. I've tried changing the batteries in the remotes and it doesn't make a difference. The car's battery was just replaced around October/November of 19 so it's not that. When the car actually does start it's not the weak start you'd expect from a dying battery.

Generally a key fob battery or car battery issue. Could be battery connection issue.
