I have a slight depression in my front windshield adjacent to the rearview mirror and above my normal line of sight. It's about 3" high by 6" wide. I noticed it when cleaning the glass and my hand felt the depression. There's no distortion but the wiper of course skips over this area leaving that part of the glass smeared in rainy conditions. I just upgraded to Rain-X Latitude blades but there's no change. It's a small annoyance for sure but IF this was in my line of vision I'd want a new windshield. Anyone else have this condition and/or had it taken care of?

Wouldnt a new windshield be required to fix this? How would someone sand down glass and repolish it? Even if that is possible, wouldn't it degrade the integrity of the glass?

The VT has rather thin glass as part of its low weight. So some aspects of its glass can seem weird.

My VT's windshield is properly formed and has no such deformation.

The Hyundai warranty has 3 phases: 1 yr/12k mile everything, 5 yr/60k mile bumper-to-bumper and 10 yr 100k drivetrain. It is best to get everything covered in that first 1 yr/12k mile period - if you can. My dealer is especially interested in my VT and seems eager to make sure I am happy with it and they have mentioned the 1 yr warranty more than once. I assume that it is because they get paid more for that service.

I would take your VT in for a $33 oil change at the dealer and point out that problem and ask to have it fixed/replaced. You could point out that a defective windshield is a potential liability issue if you ever got in to an accident and you had brought the issue to their attention.
