So I have that warranty that replaces key fobs if lost or damaged. The kids were playing with the water so I thought why not. Lol

There's a rubber seal around the circuit board when you open the housing, but the buttons are definitely not water-tight at all. So enough water and it will be soaked. Be careful not to get it completely submerged I would guess.

Usually an iPhone can still work after it's been dunked in water too, but it's not generally recommended. My point is I wouldn't consider the key fob to be water-proof, but what you did should be fine. I wouldn't leave it underwater for any extended period of time though.

If my kids would of left it alone I would of left of for a few minutes.

Yeah I went swimming with mine in the Gulf of Mexico for about 15 minutes then realized I had it in my pocket. Let it dry in the sun for about an hour and I havent had a single problem. Thank you sweet baby Jesus!

Lol this made me laugh, you didn't waste any time there, just threw it in the water like a boss!
well I'm glad u had a good laugh. I was trying to keep the video short. Actually my little daughter is the boss. See how quickly she threw It out onto the grass "get that crap out of here!". Otherwise I would of let it soak in for a bit. Lol.

When I saw you un/locking the car at the beginning, I was like, "why aren't the mirrors folding??... OH..right, Canada. That sucks."

Sorry.
Ya ya don't rub it in! The only place with scuff on my car are the mirrors.

I brought my car from the US, so I don't have power folding either. Not that it's totally needed here either (even these natives don't fold their mirrors often when they're driving in close quarters...experienced that a few times), only when parking.
