Plus maybe it would keep my back bumper from turning black every other day. I think im just going to go ahead and install my mbc and bump it up 2 psi i have been waiting around on someone else to do it but looks like im going to be the test dummy.. Will post dyno vid and numbers as well as afr asap... Any info would be great..

Oh and on my nissan juke i currently have 36000 miles on it and have been running it with 3 psi over stock since 1200 miles with no problems other than it feels great when u stomp the firewall

Has anyone installed a boost gauge on there vt yet.. i am this weekend but would love to have someone 's guidence that has already done it

I was wondering the same thing last night. My Subie buddy and I were talking cars and boost last night, and how there was a way to increase boost on the STis without a boost controller and having warranty issues etc. etc. It got me wondering why guys are wasting time with a FMIC before anyone even bothers trying to crank up the boost. I don't think I've seen anyone so much as mention a boost controller. If this wasn't my DD and I wasn't worried about warranty it'd be the first thing I'd do after intake and exhaust.

We were about to put a mbc on mine the other day when it was on the dyno but we ran out of time. With the car goin 10:1 after 4500 rpm we saw no reason why it could take a couple more pounds.

Well you know 2013 Genesis 2.0 turbo have this electronic wastegate as well. I'm pretty sure they'll have a aftermarket setup to let us turn up the boost sooner or later. You guys just need to give it time. The veloster turbo is new in to market so don't expect everything to be laid on the table at this very moment.

The turbo and the servo controlled wastegate are just perfect in 3rd through 6th gear and I wouldn't change a thing.

1st and 2nd gear are a different story. 1st gear has little or no boost and you can feel the boost being modulated in 2nd gear.

I get that this is a fancy Accent and Hyundai has a big warranty to honor.

If I put soft tires on it and get the same boost in all gears I suspect that the half-shafts, wheel bearings and front suspension bushings won't make the 100,000 mile mark. I think the manual transmission would hold up but I'm not so sure about the automatic transmission.

I'm not willing to void the warranty yet. But I'm sure that there is more performance available with this car.

I can't really say what the boost is doing in the auto for the first 2 gears. RPM shoots up and then speedometer catches up. Really dislike anytime a transmission is slipping.
