I'd posted the news to another thread, but I thought that I should start a new thread for those who finally got their long awaited VTs in the US.

I got my VT on Saturday and have driven it over 300mi already. I would racked up more miles but I had to go to work today... It was worth the wait. I told the guys at Korum Hyundai in Puyallup (WA State) that I'd give a shout out for them. They were GREAT to work with and got me the first VT (as far as I know) in the US. They have a couple ATs coming in, so if you're in the area give them a call.

It really is as sharp in person as it is in the pics - stopped multiple times by stranges to ask about it. I tinted the windows, and to tell you the truth I don't see needing to do too much else. It's quick! Maybe not break neck, but it scoots and, from recent experience, it keeps up well with both the GTI and MiniS from stop light to stop light in the burbs. Fit and finish are amazing - still can't believe that Hyundai's have come so far. As you can tell I stoaked and the car (so far) has exceeded my expectations.

Can wait to read other VT owners posts.

Yeah, congratulations man! Which options did you get (of the two that are available, haha)? edit: Never mind, I saw in another thread that it's M/T with Ultimate... very nice, exactly what I'm waiting for.

And sorry to break it to you, but I believe someone in Florida beat you to the punch as the first VT sale. But I'm sure you're 2nd or 3rd. Don't be too disappointed: you know there's this old saying — I believe it's from Voltaire — that goes "first is the worst, second is the best, third is the one with the hairy chest". So, I've never seen you without a shirt, but that should let you determine whether you're second or third. [/brilliant philosophical insight]

Eug.......did your dealership "order" yours or was it just luck that the blue manual came on the truck?

I talked to the dealership when they got their allotment, and I was lucky and they had a Blue M/T on the list. I put money down right then and there... And I'm glad I did. The blue is really deep, almost a purple in overcast WA. The tint really makes it pop too.

Congrats
The more I see that blue, the more I like it, and I'm not really a blue fan
Your car looks great, you must be sooooo happy
Enjoy!
Thanks and yes I am SUPER stoked. Went to go get dog food last night and when I came of the grocery store I had 3 guys standing around the car. Turns out they are members of a Seattle Audi car club and asked me all about the car. It really is an intriguing looking and memorable car.

I've had the car nearly a week and have driven it nearly 600mi. It's hard to not want to drive it right now. As a matter of fact I think I may go to Portland for lunch... I work in downtown Seattle. I don't think anyone will notice if I slip away.

Just received the following from my dealer here in Scottsdale, AZ:

Finally it is oficially on the way. Today at the port of LA. Give it a week and it will be here to drive and buy. Now is the time to get yours set aside. Starting next Saturday we will have the full enroute production schedule, so that would be a great time to come in and get yours ordered.

Buy Price for the one described below is $23,920.00
NEXT. WEEK.
