I recently installed a K&N cone filter on the stock tubing of my 2013 VT, and outside it sounds great and how I expected, but inside it sounds so much louder then I expected and while I dont mind the sound I just wanted to know if they were supposed to be that loud or if something was wrong. I also did a full ecu reset because after i first installed it the car felt a bit sluggish

It is alot louder compared to stock. That's normal lol

I knew it would be louder i just didnt expect the cabin noise to be so loud, it also sounds different inside the car than outside

If it's too much you can consider getting an airbox design so that it'll isolate the sound from you a bit

i drove it again today and i guess the ecu compensated because it sounds alot better and the harsh sound went away and the car is driving much smoother

You can probably hear the BOV a bit through that vs the airbox.
