Over the weekend my gf. and I had just gotten out of a movie... it was about 35 degrees F out... she was kind of in a hurry to get home, so I didnt let my VT warm up much at all, took right off, but wasnt hard on the throttle, I only hit about 2500 rpm's before up-shifting. I noticed about 1 mile into the trip that I was having a hard time pulling a hill that I drive up every day ( can usually pull 60mph in 6th gear at 2600rpm no problem )... and shortly later I had to down shift to 3rd to make a turn. Noticed that I had very little throttle response and seemed like it wasn't allowing me to rev. over 3000 rpm. By this time during my trip, the engine temp. gauge had 4 bars on it... and by the time I got home it was at normal temp. but It acted this way the whole trip ( about 8 mile's total distance ). No CEL poped up, nothing else out of the ordinary, just very little throttle response, not allowing over 3000 rpm, and I couldn't hear the turbo spooling at all. I went out about 1 hour later, started up the car and let it idle for about 10 minutes, temp was up to "operating" range... took off and all seemed normal... turbo was spooling, throttle response was normal, could hit red line if I wanted too. I have read about some people getting a CEL if they were taking off too soon and spooling the turbo up, but I haven't read about this type of situation yet. It almost was like the car was putting itself into "saftey mode" but with no CEL? I have driven about 140 miles since with no issue's at all. Anybody have any ideas on what might have gone on? 6speed ultimate pkg. with 5000 miles on it. Changed the oil at 1000 and 3000 so far.. used Mobil 1 full syn. Used Hyundai oil filters, Have a "drop-in" K&N air filter. Any ideas would be appreciated... Thanks ;-)

It has been discussed before, we all think the ecu is limiting alot of the power and response to protect the engine when it is cold. This is a good thing but can be annoying if you want to get around and dont have time to wait for it to warm up. Basically i noticed you have little power until the temp gauge reads at least 3 bars. Its going to help your car last longer in the end, I welcome it. Also, from what i have seen with torque boost is limited in cold mode to around 7-12 psi where normal range is up to 18 psi.
