I deleted the stock muffler and had a local shop weld in a "WYE" and 2 1/2" inch pipe to the stock pipes exiting to the rear. I also replaced the resonator with a Magnaflow # 10426 muflfer.

sounds great. This is exactly what I was going to do with mine for the resonator replacement since the muffler delete alone is wayy to loud..

how would you say the sound is under throttle and heavy load?

Total cost was $223.00. I will mount the camera to the back and do some driving and acceleration tomorrow. The sound inside is good, no drone. The sound under load is good. If cruizing at 60 and get on it; as the turbo spools the volume increases as does the grin!!! The grin is way bigger than the volume increase.

how is the noise when cruising, say at 3000 rpm or so? That is what bothers me most about my setup..

I wish I woulda got my rear section done like yours I got the whole thing replaced and there was no reason to do so as the stuff they replaced it with was shit.

I have a A/T and 3K is about 75 on hwy, you could hold a normal conversation. In town in 4th and 3K same thing. My exhaust shop recomended keeping as much after the muffler since it was all stainless and he claims the little bulges are resonators, not sure on that though.

yeah, those are tiny resonators. I shoulda kept that section.

At a steady spead in 6th just barely louder than stock, not intrusive at all.

We dyno'd that same version except with a single pipe at the rear and got around 8hp more give or take.
