Hello everyone,

I’m sure some of you are getting close to needing brake fluid replacement or have already done it. My question is does anyone know where to order the red filter that prevents debris? Hyundai says you have to order the whole reservoir and I find that silly.

Yeah but the mesh on one side is not completely sealed anymore as I was trying to figure out how to pull it out. It should be 5-10 bucks to replace from the other oems that I’ve seen from other platforms.

I'd see if you can get one from dealer, online parts source, Car-part.com, or Albert Hwang on FB.

Keep in mind that this filter is not needed. Other things can be used to filter the fluid upon filling.

Yeah... interesting how few cars have them. I hate it personally it takes forever to add cold brake fluid.

What brake fluid did you source if you don't mind me asking?

I mean I have 3 VT in my driveway and I'm sure they have these in them if you absolutely have to have one.

I certainly would like one, I know you're right that it's practically useless but still would prefer to have one that ideally serves its purpose to some degree. If you can spare one or all 3 just let me know. Gladly, would pay $20 for one or all 3 if you're inclined to part away with them. I Included the picture with an arrow of where I'd pull away from and up. It's going to be super tough but don't be afraid, it will eventually come out. As long as the mesh is fine, I'll be content.

@TooGqForYou, I don't know what uses your veloster serves but if you do any canyon/mountain driving (spirited) with constant hard stops, I'd recommend 2 bottles of Motul 600 (https://www.amazon.com/Motul-MTL100949-Factory-Percent-Synthetic/dp/B004LEYJO4)

However, if you just use it for A to B commuting then any brand you can get from your local parts will do. I'll offer a link, https://www.autozone.com/brake-and-...tosin-dot-4-lv-brake-fluid-1-liter/579849_0_0.
