I don't have a matte VT but I've been taking my VT to a few different hand wash places to keep it like new.

They are confused at first about the VT, but two of the shops had a guy come over to me and say that the VT comes in matte and point to some other matte cars that they are cleaning and tell me to tell other matte VT owners that they know how to maintain matte paint jobs. The funny thing is that the other matte cars are either a new Lamborghini or late model SUVs that look like professional athletes own them. The matte grey VT looks a thousand times better than any of the aftermarket paint jobs and just as good as the Lambos.

now that i'm finding out the matte grey isn't that hard to take care of, i'm kind of pissed i didn't get one.

even 1 of the hyundai dealerships i went to said they wouldn't recommend it and that they've heard nothing but bad things about it. bastards... lol... at least i didn't buy my VT at THAT dealer >=0

So I sorta impulse purchased the Matte Gray because it was such a nice color. The more I think about it though, the more that it was a poor idea! I don't have a garage, and will be kept outside. I live in New England, which loves snow. Any issues with Matte paint and snow (especially the removal part)?

Iv been removing snow all winter and no issues.... honeslty the roof is all glass, snow hardly stays on the rear hatch. The hood is the place where snow builds up, and I havent had any issues. As with any clear coated car Ive owned I alway check the snow brush to make sure there isnt any ice on it before I start cleaning the snow off.

they said the same thing... Im not sure why they said that. 2 different dealers told me to stay away. I said what ever! They have no clue and are probably just saying that to be safe.

+1

The dealer I bought mine from got one in on trade that day. They were rolling it into the showroom. If it had been the M/T, I probably would have gotten it.

why not just get the sandblaster out and make my silver shiny into silver matte!
