Matte Grey owners join me

I never received a cleaning kit with my matte VT but I'm from the states so I'm not sure if that matters. Where can I go to find out? The dealership said they new nothing about it and I never signed anything regarding the steps to clean it either.

Hyundai australia never supplied a kit for the matte paint. I purchased mine from the states

Umm I hope you just got your matte grey VT and that the kit is on its way. If not you need to go see your dealer. They probably used it to clean your care before delivery. Make sure you get a NEW kit and thay they dont pawn off a used one. In case you are wondering the kit is from Dr.Beasley. It comes with bucket and clothes etc, soap, cleaner, detail cleaner and most improtantly sealer.

There should have been a brand new kit in your trunk.

my matte VT came with Dr.Beasley's kit and i found it to be excellent...in instructions and use!

I've seen 2 Matte Grey VTs at my dealer and both of them had the cleaning kit in the hatch.

But both of them had the kit opened and the dealer was using part of it to clean off the fingerprints from the endless stream of customers sitting in it everyday. Maybe that is what happened to your kit.

I was reading an article about the BMW "Frost" colors, which is the same as the Hyundai Matte Grey paint. According to that article BMW insists that its frost colors are much more durable than gloss colors and require less cleaning because dirt does not show up as much on the paint. BMW acknowledge the same issues with their frost colors though. Mainly that all common paint finish products that contain any sort of abrasive will damage the finish and rubbing just one section of the car will result in an inconsistent finish. They also insist on only hand-washing and not using any sort of brush-based car washes.

WTF I don't think Americans get a super nice hat like that, just a dumb bucket.

You should use the show time spray and when it shines ur matte paint bring it back and be like WTF!!

Got a opened kit with my Matte Gray but it was on the showroom so the final finish was used and nothing else. Was wondering how often you guys are washing your cars and if you don't do it every two weeks like the Dr. Beesley's says will it ruin the finsih?

Talked to my dealership today and my cleaning kit is on the way. I don't think they would have ever mentioned it unless I went down there and I wouldn't have known about this cleaning kit if I wasn't on this forum! Thank you to all!

Got my Australian kit today. Spray bottle was leaking and everything was saturated...
