Hey guys,

Been a lurker for quite a while on the VT.org site although I am a regular over there on the normal Veloster.org. Now that I'm a VT owner I thought I may as well jump on here so I can read up on all the VT specific discussion going on instead of permanently in the Veloster Turbo discussion section.

Below are some pictures of my Marmalade Veloster SR Turbo the day after I picked it up - The Marmalade is an Aussie colour that changes depending on angle of viewing and where the light is hitting it. It is a limited colour and as much as I like the white and some of the other colours, the uniqueness of this hue got me in the end!

Nice car. I almost chose that... and almost chose the Matte Grey. but the Storm Trooper (pearl) white got me in the end. I'm fairly sure we bought our cars from the same dealer. Metro Hyundai on Lutwyche road in Windsor. Haha. I was the first VT they sold but I had heard they had sold another 3 after mine and one of them had been to someone on Provisional plates. Do you have long before you can get rid of your P's?

Hey Deekay, I would be shot if I bought at another dealership lol. I am a Hyundai salesman at Moorooka Hyundai so I got taken care of - traded in my Yellow NA V+. Also, I get off Ps in January - not long but I decided I'd trade as early as possible to save as much resale as I could.

Nice ride Maximum!
I have a Marmalade VT en route at the moment, should arrive in the next week.
Will be the first VT down here (Tasmania) with the exception of the dealer demo.
Good to see some more shots of the VT in this hue.
Can't wait until mine arrives, planning to make a quick video of how the paint shifts as the light changes.
Cheers.

Haha, fair enough. So it seems there is two P platers in QLD with the VT now. I had come off my P plates about 1 week before I took delivery of mine, so I didn't have to worry about looking into the power to weight ratio etc. FFEEKY, I have heard from my dealership that the car does scrape in and is P plate legal. I wouldn't quote me on that however as I have done zero research to back up that statement.

I don't know really... your car reminds me of my Vitamin C just with a different gloss, if that's the correct word to use?
Yes it looks like the vitamin c but if you notice, the color changes depending on how the light hits it. Notice the front of the car is a different color, more red in it. It looks like it is a chameleon paint.

ha, your right you can find some red at some angels. It's really interesting, just wondering hows that done or why Hyundai went with something of that nature.
I believe is done with a clear coat that is infused (for a lack of a better word) with bits of other color, and when the light hits it at different angles, it changes color. My 1995 Z28 had it, teal base with purple-ish chameleon tone. I think the color was mystic teal.

As another Marmalade VT owner, the colors range from light gold through to dark orange like the Vitamin C solid metallic. You can sometimes see purple/red/green depending on light and angle however.

I love the Matte Grey and Battleship as well, but this is just ultra rare to see, and definitely turns more heads than any other car on the road.

Often hear "that car is sexy" from a couple as I drive past! (she's really talking about me but I let the car take the cred) lol.
