So much conflicting information out there... I guess I'll have to see how my 1422's workout with my tune and cross that bridge if I come to it.
You should be fine with a 2015 model. It's just on the 2016 model that they switched to a 8 heat range plug. Mine is tuned also, stage 1 Tork. The 1422's are 8 heat range also so the difference is the resistance 5 ohm vs the 1422 10 ohm resistance. The reach on the stock plugs is 5 mm and the 1422 reach is 3.5 mm. The physical difference is that the stock plug electrode extends much further than the threads vs the 1422's. Why the 1422 fouled and set a CEL would be up to an expert to explain. Obviously it has to be due the resistance and reach. All I know is that if you have 2016 model you should just keep the stock plugs.

Very interesting, thanks for the clarification.

Comparison of catch can contents after 3500 miles...

Pennzoil bottle is much thicker and looks like "oil", with a viscosity somewhere between the original oil and water.
Is that Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum? I forget which of the two is the better one for us.

False. Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is the better of the two, but is typically only found online. Pennzoil Platinum is the lesser version that can be found locally.
Oh no, I wasn't saying Pennzoil platinum was better..... I was just answering his question as to which one was in the catch can bottles in the pic I posted

I'll be changing my Liquimolly either today or tomorrow sometime so I'll have the sample sent out to blackstone this week. I'm very curious to see how it does compared to other oils on here.

What always amazes me is that - if you Guys are so interested in Engine durability issues with the GDI/Turbo - as far as oil types, mods, tunings and the like - why are you so unconcerned about voiding the Factory 100,000 mile Drivetrain Warrantee?! You can say "well my Dealer said it was ok with it" - but - if you end up with a Drivetrain (engine) Issue do you really think that it's going to be your Dealer who has the last say about replacement/repair issues?

So is there a specific oil I should use without getting too technical? I've been reading through the thread and honestly a lot of it is beyond my comprehension lol. I was leaning towards Amsoil until I read about the negatives it has.

Penzoil platinum or Penzoil ultra platinum are the best available in stores for our cars. Cerma/redline are the best best but only available online.

I have the results of the UOA. Holy calcium batman! Other than that what do you think of it? I'm glad to see my silicon levels are reasonable given I run the K&N drop in in place of the thicker stock filter.
