[1.6 T-GDI]

The MPG estimates for the M/T have been known for a while. Overnight, the A/T estimates were revealed. Thoughts?

Fuel Economy

6-speed M/T
City 26 mpg
Highway 38 mpg
Combined 30 mpg

6-speed A/T
City 25 mpg
Highway 34 mpg
Combined 29 mpg

Pretty good. I don't think the 1MPG is going to sway people either way though

Ouch, 34mpg on the highway with the auto? I guess most people are driving this thing in the city so it won't matter all that much. Just one added benefit to tell the wife why we need the 6 speed

For us canadians it's 8.1L/100KM (city) and 5.3 L/100 (highway).
For americans it's 35mi/gal (city) and 50 mi/gal.

Canada uses "Imperial Gallons" which is a larger amount than the US gallon.

I haven't had a car with a catalytic converter since high school. And I've never had a car that could get better then 25mpg. Powah > mpg.

At least with the VT, you have the option of both decent power and fuel economy. Although I cannot wait to see what can be achieved with some performance mods
