I wish it was my VT. I'm not a VT owner.....yet? I'm deciding on if I want to get it now (I see them everyday on my way to work LOL!) or wait for the MY2014 models.
Dude, it needs to be more active here......

Ok, I'll play
Out of curiosity, why are you thinking about potentially waiting until 2014
You know I'm waiting, mainly because I just took out a $40k home equity loan to have the top of my house redesigned
But I also hold hope that come 2014 there will be a brighter orange or 26.2

Hey bro :D

Two reasons why I'm waiting, both are financial. I still have my student loans outstanding (A family loan, its not a lot, around $10k, interest free. No reason why I should rush to pay it off right away if its interest free) and my moms mortgage has $6k~ left, I'm about to pay it off for her so she can finally get that out of the way. Of course, there are many other reasons that may have an effect, like my current job stability (high chance (40%) of being transferred to Montreal or Vancouver next year) and the fact that the VT will not be my DD, but only a weekend car(funsies car). Driving less than 10,000 km per year (6500~ miles), if not less, and buying a new $30k car with unknown deprecation just doesn't make any sense if I think rationally. For $30k, I could get a used luxury vehicle that will keep its value much better.

Sometimes I have to think rationally in regards to each owns financials, since no one around me does, so this rubs off with everything I do. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up in a VT anyways.

Plus. the MY2014 models may come out with more goodies (and paint schemes), so wauting another year ain't that bad. We both were quite patient before the NAV came out, then when the VT came out. What's another year of loitering around here? ;)

Me thinks you and I are very much in the same boat
The VT will be my, gulp, 6th vehicle, although technically only the 5th that is driveable as the MGA ain't
My house is very financially demanding, I bought it cheap because I knew it's potential, my parents built 4 homes and remodeled 3 cottages so this kind of stuff is not new to me
The VT though, OMG, I have been f'ing lusting for a new hot hatch for over a decade, and finally, we get one in the states that I'm really, really, really excited about

I love hot hatches, shame we get such little options here. MazdaSpeed3 I didn't like the drive, was too raw for my tastes. The GTI, what can we say, the best of both worlds but VW's reliability has always been appalling (plus I have 3 close friends/family that already have the MK6). Those were the only two to choose from for a long time, but now with the Focus ST (too pricey here in Canada), Fiat Abarth (no thanks), Mini Cooper S(no thanks).

If I had the money, I'd Import a Vauxhall Astra VXR/Opel Astra OPC. If GM ever brings it over, even if its a Buick, I'd be all over that.

Wow, you and I are really in just about the same boat
For me the ST and the MS3 would be possible, but I detest 5-doors
That Vauxhall is hot, just f'ing wonderful
I'm a huge Nissan fan, my DD is a Frontier PRO-4X
If I had the money...

watch they are gonna make pearl gray available in the 2014 model
they actually are it sounds like.. They currently have a survey on hyundai think tank on what to call the light grey pearl/battleship grey here in the states.. If only I could wait that long I would have that color FOR SURE... It's a shame they didn't bring it here this year :/
