Hello All,

I am new to the form and I just picked up a wrecked 2016 Veloster turbo. Part of the harness on the right side of the engine was ripped from the hit. I need to figure out what 18-20 wires go to.
I know I need the following wire colors for:

Window Washer pump - 3 wires
Window Washer low level fluid - 2 wires
Right side Fog light - 2 wires
Horn or Horns - 2 \ 4 wires... Does the veloster have two horns?

Also, does anyone know what these two plugs \ things do? They are located dead center and low near the of the car.

2 wires to each temp sensor, 2 to the horn, 2 to fog light, and 8-10 to the washer tank.

How many total and what color are they so we can do process of elimination? Clear pic of all the wires in question will help as the pic posted is unclear and wires tangled everywhere.

Also keep in mind there could be color variance from car to car. Also some of same color are used as well so trace back to ecu and use an ecu pin out will be your best bet.

Hello all,

I was able to sort out the following:
Horn (2 wires)
Washer pump (3 wires)
Fog Light (2 wires)
Sensor 1 ( 2 wires Blue \ Black)
? Sensor 2 ( 2 wires Blue \ Grey) I don't know how to test this Sensor to confirm its the correct grey wire or what this sensor does.Does anyone know?

I need the low washer level plug (2 wires).. I didn't have time to test this one today.
and one other set of wires I have no clue that they go to.

Left over wires are :
Light Grey
Grey with black strip
2 black wires (grounds)

Any idea what they can be?

Thank you all for the help..

Lower washer plug has 5 wires in one plug, 3 of which shared with upper plug, and 2 different ones. Then another plug down low has 2 wires I think going to it.

trdtoy, Yours must be different, Mine has 2 separate plugs 3-wire for the pump and 2 - wire for the low washer level. From what I can tell.

Here is the main pump plug.

Hello All,

I need some help. I think I found the missing set of wires... They appear to be an Air Bag sensor that's located on the lower right side. It appears to be attached to the Window Washer reserve tank.

If someone could check the number and color of the wires ... It would really be greatly appreciated. Here is a pic...

TRDtoy.... Thank you for the pic's . Can you please provide a general idea of each plug location or a list of what each plug is?

I am really interested in the plug that attaches to the outside of the Washer Fluid reserve. The Air bag sensor.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you guys very much... I was able to sort each wire and everything is working as expected. No check lights anymore.

Here is a pic of what I am working with. I am ready for paint and I hope to have the Veloster on the road soon.

Hello all,

Just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for the help. Here is what the final outcome of the rebuild looks like. My son and I did all the work; I am happy with the results.

I have a few questions...

1. When I shut the car off, I hear a clicking sound for a few seconds. Is this normal?
2. It seems like the idle may be a bit high, with the AC on the highest setting, the car idles a t 950-1000 RPMs. Is this normal?
3. Car seems to have a harsh take off vs. a smooth gradual acceleration. Could this be due to the high idle or is this normal because of the dual clutch?
