I thought that the Veloster Turbo automatic transmission would come with paddle shifters but I can't see a definitive answer on Hyundai and dealer has none in stock or brochures. I thought I read something about this feature only being available with the dual clutch A/T and that is only on the non-turbo model (weird that a 138 horsepower would get paddle shifters and a 348 horsepower in the Genesis Coupe, but not a 201 horsepower?).

I agreed on a price and trade for a white VT w/ A/T and ultimate package. I want the blue accented interior but the dealer claims they don't have that option when getting it and that is BS, but then again I'm not much of a fan of my local dealer and I searched two neighboring states and none have the model I want so I'm sort of stuck in limbo land.

Thanks in advance for the information about the paddle shifters.

It's a 6 speed "shiftronic" automatic transmission with paddle shifters. It's not dual clutch like on the NA Veloster due to issues with the increased torque. Dunno about the lack of blue interior with the white exterior, it says on Hyundai's build configurator that you can pair that combination.

Ive seen the Blue Accents and i have the white accents. I'll be honest... i think the blue is ugly and stands out. There's NOTHING in the car that matches that color except the electronics in the car, I love my grey accents...

I have a Elite White Turbo Automatic and it does bring the paddle shifters and it does come with the blue accents. Here in Miami FL all whites have the blue accents. The dealer has no idea what they are saying, but then again, non of the sales guys (including the manager) did not know the VT I bought was on their lot. Pics in the gallery.

Thanks vtlover67 - I'm so confused and I like the blue shown on the online configuration but I also would like the grey accent so I'll be okay either way. After I wrote this thread I talked to the dealer and they still don't know what they're talking about. He says no to the paddle shifters because of the extra torque, but you say yes and that you have them vtlover67 and NPH says so too so I'll stick with those that actually know what they're talking about and look forward to them. Dealer also said that they put in a "preference" for me for the Elite White Turbo Automatic w/ Ultimate Package. I also asked that if it comes to them without the front license plate holes then please keep it clean and not drill - but I won't hold my breath there. In my state they require a front plate so I'm not sure why I wouldn't use that brick since it's a sore spot anyhow.

Paddle shifters are part of the auto with shiftronic for sure. The are very small and you can't see them over the steering wheel in the webpage pictures, but they are there. What they took out from the regular V was the double clutch transmission because the turbo has too much torque for it, so they just have a regular 6 speed transmission. The shifters work great, quick to shift, and they can be used even without putting the transmission in shiftronic mode. It is great!!!! Make sure they don't drill the front block. I have heard other people saying that the dealer messed it up. One of them had the dealer replace the bumper cause they messed it up.

Your dealer is wrong, there are paddle shifters on the A/T. And the shifters aren't fragile at all, you would have to purposely be squeezing them extremely hard to try and break them. It takes very little effort to use.

Well not purposefully - but accidentally my hands get past them (while operating the windshield wipers or the lights) and I feel they may be damaged. I am not too worried when using them.

I do love it, and when you put it in sport mode and do the paddle shifters it is awesome, like a manual just without the damn clutch. The M/T may be more eco and all but I don't want it in Miami traffic.

By the way, pics as soon as you can please. Where are you located?
