Hello everyone, I am new to the site, but have been lurking around reading everyone's post every morning, afternoon and evening. I feel as if I know u all of so much info I read from all of u, lol. But do want to thank all of u for the helpful info I have picked up. All the information has served me very helpful on making sure I want a VT, although the only problem I have at the moment, is either buying a 13 Matte VT (base model) or waiting for the 14 (ultimate model, if available). The dealership that I am working with is trying to get me as much rebates as I can receive. I would like some feedback on what u all think I should do on my decision. Any info will serve well and is greatly appreciated.

Well...considering it's still a new model, don't expect many changes between the 13 and 14 MY's. If you're looking on saving money, go for the 13, as is customary with many other buyers buying the last of the current MY's before the next years come out.

I agree with above posts, won't be much change being a new car to the market as it is.. Just don't settle for base model if you want the ultimate.. Decide what you want on the car because right now is slim pickings, most likely you won't find exactly what you want without waiting, which would probably end up in you getting the 2014 models.. But it your content with a base and maybe not stuck on a specific color then the 2013 would be a great choice

Patience. I thought it was actually going to happen this weekend. But my wife asked me "Do I want that car for $29000." I turned around and looked at in the showroom (matte gray, auto, blue trim ultimate with home link) and said no. The dealers know its slim pickings but stand firm and do not settle. Wait for the options and the color.

U all may be right, I really do want an Ultimate model, although, this dealership seems promising that I would get a good deal for a base. I think I'm going to TRY to hold off until I find an Ultimate or wait for 14 model. It's just really tempting and I had thought about the savings in a base 13, I would have a chance to buy my ride some sweet wheels, Turbosock's FMIC, CAI, an exhaust and Lowering springs. And that's where it is tempting.

To me, I could do without the ultimate, I just wanted a white 6spd.. So it all comes down to what you want man.. I also am the type of person to choose those mods over the ultimate, but that's because I like to make my car my own and stand out.. Everyone is different so we all can't help you out a whole lot besides list some helpful tips and you'll have to make the decision on which route to go..

I'd hold out for the ultimate package. They are available, you might just have to look outside your current dealership.

They are running a special on the Veloster when you check the Hyundai website. I wonder if they are trying to get the 2013s out the door to make room.

Yep, that's what I mean, it's very tempting to try to take advantage of the savings or just wait for 14's. honestly though, all the rebates I can see, do NOT apply to me. This my first Hyundai, I'm not disabled, not been previously in military. So still wondering if I would get a great deal. Dealership wants me to do the application to see if any additional rebates apply.

I'm giving myself the end of May. With the lack of stock and the dealerships having the combo I want not playing ball if nothing comes before the end of May I'm going to wait for the 2014s. Which means I'll keep saving and be able to put more down.

Actually, I do have a bank that I will be using, but apparently to the dealer, it will be cheaper with/if rebates apply. Do u think I would be able to bargain with my own financing? What would be a rough estimate they would reduce from price? Thanks for eveyone who are helping with my decision!
