Hello, new to the site and the hyundai world. I recently picked up a problem child 2015 veloster turbo car. Sorry to go from Hello to I need help with a issue but this car When you first start it, it runs for about 25 seconds like normal then it transforms into a rolling bug sprayer. It starts blowing a white/Grey smoke out the exhaust (rear bumper cover has signs of oil blowing) followed by a squealing type noise from what sounds like the turbo. Has anyone else suffered this same problem? That could point me to the 1st step of diagnosing the problem. I'm not sure where to start with the car, buy a new turbo? I've been trying to parts shop for a rebuild kit but have had no luck. Is it possible to remove the turbo motor and swap in a N/A 1.6 so the car is drivable till I can get all the stuff needed to rebuild the turbo motor. Other then the n/a motor, harness, pcm and exhaust what else would be needed to do the swap? Or is the swap to far fetched and should just leave the car parked? Replacement turbo motors are outrageously priced and going for more then what I have into the car. Thank you in advance and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might be easier to get an N/A exhaust manifold and go that route to remove the turbo temporarily.
You can get a used turbo. If you think that's the issue that would be a whole lot cheaper to than the whole motor.

Here's a rebuild kit. Idk if it h as s everything you might need.

Are you sure the squealing is coming from the turbo and not your belt?

What's the oil and coolant look like?

other stuff would be needed for a NA swap, even the AC lines are different lol

get a stethoscope and peek around the engine bay while the car is running and warmed up to isolate the sounds.
