If you look stock to the wheels is 160... with the tune its 200 to the wheels... thats +40 regardless and that's what matters. At least you know a civic with bolt ons won't be able to give you a run for your money.

So if I order for 91 octane and once in a while pump 87 will I see/feel a difference or should I just never pump a lower or higher octane?

Hmm good question, I'll be pumping 87 octane... could the ecu adjust itself and increase its performance on the day i pump 91...

The timing will be set for the higher octane. If you run anything lesser youll most likely ping when in boost. You could probably get away with it if you don't boost but i wouldnt reccomend it.

If you actually hit the shopping cart it has flash options for lower grades of gas. However your results will be lower as well.

For you guys looking at getting a tune for 87 don't count on getting a 40 HP gain. I find it seriously doubtful that SFR or anyone else will pick up that many ponies running low octane fuel.

Im going to ask Jay from SFR this weekend if they know what the actual HP differences are with the various fuel grades. 91 here in Canada isnt that much more expensive. Maybe $5 a tank more for 91.

Everyone at the dyno day was running 93 i believe. One guy had 91 that wasnt great and he had some issues tuning it

Here in Canuckistan, 91 is the most common. 94 is pretty rare, BUT our 91 form a few places is also ethanol free. It would be cool to see if they have any actual #s for the lower octane tunes.

It is interesting thay SFR is offering these lower octane options. Great for people who are still trying to be economical or dont have the higher grades available where they live. The Genesis tunes are 91 only lol.

I plan on tuning for 91. I'm about 50/50 91/93 on my fill-ups. But would rather tune for the lower than have issues.

I want to have mine tuned with 50% E85 and 50% 93. Thats the best blend for power.
