On my way to a new VT

Hello everyone!

I've been browsing this forum for a couple months now, just to get ideas for what I'd like to do to my VT when I get one. Now it looks like I'll finally be able to get one in the next couple months. I just got a quote from my insurance agent and I am surprised that my rates will only go up $25 per 6 months from my current insurance for my 2004 Honda Civic. Apparently the safety features in the VT help a lot. I'm not sure what color I'll be getting, it depends on what's available, but I'd be fine with silver, black, white, or blue. This will be my first car in which I plan to do any sort of modifications to, so I'm looking forward to being able to ask questions on the subject here.

Wow, only went up 25 bucks every 6 months?? Damn, to insure this car for me is pricier than even my 370z.

Search around, theres still places out there (at least in my area) that are still marking these cars up for some unknown reason.

We unloaded a 2012 Ford Edge for our VT and our insurance went up $38 per 6 months. We have USAA. I guess I can handle $6/mo for a bit more fun behind the wheel! LOL

Dealerships don't seem to be doing any markups in the Seattle area. There are actually quite a few base automatic VTs, but I'm looking for a manual with the Ultimate package. I was thinking about trying Truecar.com to help find the car at a decent price, and Motozuma.com for it's Hyundai price match deal. Does anyone have any experience with either site?
My insurance didn't go up at all.

The dealers here are all charging just the $750 to ship the VTs to their lots. But none of them have M/Ts and few of them have ultimate packages.

I wouldn't count on getting anyone to match Hyundai's website price because it has been over 6 months since you can build a VT on Hyundai's website and be able to order one or find one in dealer inventory.

At this point you have to try to find a dealer trade or take what you can get - or wait for the 2014 model.
