Once again Hyundai Australia bend its customers over and gives it to us. For all the Matte VT owners out there that are getting the so called matte paint care kit this week here is your spoiler alert, ITS CRAP!
do we get the great stuff that our US counterparts get ? NO we get crappy old Mothers products, do we get decent clothes ? NO we get stuff that looks like it came from a $2 store. Sealant you ask ??? Nope not a drop of it. But dont fret you also get a cool blue and orange Veloster cap. Thanks Hyundai you guys rock.

I really don't understand as to why there would be any difference in kits going multiple countries. I would think from a financial stand point that they would all be the same using the same products.

That sucks. Sorry to hear u Guys aren't getting the same kit. Maybe this was a specific dealer and not a corporate initiative?

no it came from head office, it took them 3 and a half months to send it out, just Hyundai Australia cheaping out.

Be carefull I don't think you can use that stuff on matte paint. Nothing cheap about the DrB stuff.

yeah I was very impressed NOT. I dont get it, we have a harsher environment when it comes to the heat than most of the USA but we just get nothing to protect our car, saying that I have heard there was suppsoed to be some kind of waiver you guys signed or an 11 page doc on how to look after the paint is that right too ?

Yes there is a book that we have to read and a sing off that we know how to care for it. The book is floating around here somewhere.

oh well looks like if they havent given us that either that any paint defects in the future on my car they will be paying for
heard its cost them 2 matte paint resprays over hear from people using cheap tyre black and getting it wet and sprayed all up the car. maybe if we had the sealant it would of come off lol

There is a cleaner that comes in the kit. It removes everything. Even grease and bugs. Dr B is good stuff. Pricey, but good. I'm looking for alternatives.

yeah i`m going to order the pack, I have some finger prints I cant get out on one of my doors, looks like greasy hands were admiring the paint.

Hopefully the cleaner will get rid of that. The sealer which u apply after washing 2x a year is key to ensuring stain resistance.

@Mackies: Don't know why they even bothered with the pack. I reckon its more of an insult on Australian matte owners than just not getting it at all when you compare it to the US pack. But hey you do get a baseball cap

I was so excited when I heard the door bell late yesterday arvo when I knew it was here, ya should of seen the look I gave the parcel delivery gal when I seen how small the pack was. I wish she had stuck around to watch me open it she would of seen an even more shocked look. And I think the found the cheapest nastiest hats they could find, figured they fooled us into thinking we are getting a good care kit why not make us look stupid too.

What's better about Aussie VTs? The second matte option is pretty cool though wonder if it will come to North American.

Not really, An American VT with ultimate package is similar spec to Australian VT which is between $34K - $36K in Australia. As far as colour goes we get Black, White, Red and 3 shades of gray (we had a limited run of Marmalade but thats been discontinued).
