Hello!

Just leased a new Marathon Blue VT on May 1 and have enjoyed it so far. Performance wise, it is not the RX-8 I have been driving the last 9+ years, but I needed a hatchback for my bike and other transporting, so I finally broke down and got something. The savings in gas mileage/regular unleaded alone will make a few payments each year for me.

I used to be very involved in forums and meets with my last 2 cars, but really fell out of it the last few years. I will be around here some learning as much as I can about the new car from those that know it best...the owners. I already chimed in on a thread about the Fog Lights, as it is something I want to "fix" on mine soon. I'm interested in learning some of the other simple, cheap mods out there, as I cant really warrant going overboard with a car I will only have 3 years (most likely)

I'm in Tampa, FL,...FYI.

Subs, Amp - Trunk.
Bike - Rack on Roof.

MOD AWAY! :D
WHOLE reason for new car was having a hatch for my bike. Or else I would have kept my rx8 and kept using my bike rack.

I'm also in Tampa Bay (Odessa, specifically).
I have lived in Land O'Lakes, Lake Fern Road, and Van **** Road. Now I'm over by USF

Keep me posted on a G2G.

I'm intrigued, so I'm going to ask... How the heck do you fit a bike in this little a$$ car? LOL I couldn't barely fit the OEM Grille in the box in the car - had to put it in the back seat, bc it wouldn't fit in the trunk.

We were just over at USF last night at some car show event on campus there. Was only one other Veloster, it was N/A, orange, and had a few mods (none that I would have added, personally, though).

As for G2G, here is my post about that :)

I put mine AND my g/f road bikes in at the same time all the time! My back seats are never up, as I am used to not having a usable back seat anyway.

Front wheels are quick release, so they go in perfectly.

I live about 1 mile from USF, would have loved to get over there.

Keep me posted on any other Tampa get together's (send me a PM so I get an email about it).
