My dealer offered me a 10yr 100k bumper to bumper warranty for the Turbo for approximately 1800.00. I will be putting some high mileage >30k/yr on this car so the Warranty may be worth it in the long run. I was wondering if I could get some opinions about this.
I passed this up but still have about a week to decide on whether or not to get it.

I will blow through the first tier warranty in less than 15 months, the second tier in less than two years and the 100k in less than 4 years. I think that once I hit 60k on this car I will be looking for another vehicle to abuse on the highway and pass this onto my kids.

I bought the extended bumper to bumper warranty and paid significantly more for it than the 1800 you are being offered. I have mixed feelings about it. My reasoning is that there is a lot of non-drive train stuff going on in this car that can fail, most of which would last through the initial warranty period.

Well I got a terrific deal according to you guys! An extra five years for a grand. I though the same as you and believe the extra bumper to bumper is well worth it, what with all the electronics and stuff. I expect the first claim will be if the headlights start to turn to haze which the sales guy said they will not.

Ten years bumper to bumper. Think in the ten years I may not put more than 2o or 30 thousand miles on the car. I still ride my Valkyrie an awful lot year around.

You're only going to have this car for what, three years? Most of that time you will be covered under the normal warranty. Is $1800 worth it for about a year's worth of coverage?
Good point.
The "full" bumper to bumper expires in 36k miles, which I plan to go through in approximately 15-16 months.
I plan to drive it for close to 60-70k miles then pass it onto my kids, I figure the extended warranty would keep it covered for a few more years before it hit's 100k with the kids driving it.
The warranty packages are state regulated here in FL, or so I've been informed. They tell me there's no negotiating room on their plan. I've purchased these cheaper for two other vehicles I've owned in the past and used them thoroughly. Just not sure with this car... and if there's a less expensive option for extended warranty as Ricky-D is saying.

fwiw: it's 5yr/60k miles
It's not full Bumper to Bumper after 36k miles. My dealer outlined this pretty distinctly. There are three tiers, 3-36, 5-60, and 10-100k. Each tier covers less as you progress to the next level. The initial tier covers everything except wear items, after that the Turbo and associated components are not covered, as well as some electronic items (ie stereo, power moon roof, window modules, etc), after 60k, no electronic items are covered period (ie ECU, TCU, ABS system), only the lubricated internal components of the engine and transmission.
I will recheck the warranty manual but they were pretty clear about this

fwiw: those exclusions/limitations of wear items, battery, radio, etc are the standard exclusions on most manufacturer's "bumper to bumper" warranties...

I wanna say mine was about $1800. It brought my bumper to bumper to 100,000 and gave me 100,000 or 10 years of roadside assistance. Now I'm not one to purchase an extended warranty as they are usually a ripoff, and as a DIY'er I'm not one to call roadside assitance. However my thoughts in purchasing the extended warranty was this. My Acura was out of warranty and all sorts of electronic problems were the bane of its existance. Airbag lights, ABS lights, etc. All little electronic BS. Your engine isn't going to blow, but little sensors and stuff at a couple hundred dollars a pop will add up to that $1800 quick...and not having a spare tire, a few extra years of roadside assistance may end up being a godsend one day.
