Hi, I am new here, and when my current tires are to be replaced, I want to get new rims as well. I am wondering what all the dimensions I need to worry about are. I know the offset from the center, but I am unsure if there is anything else, and if anybody has recommendations on good brands to get. I am thinking O.Z rims.

my opinion, i would think a 17x7 with a 225/45 on it is great for pothole resistance and ride quality. as long as you put decent tires on.

Bingo. With a 17 you can shave a bunch of weight off of each corner compared to stock and still have enough sidewall to not have to worry too much about potholes.
I would consider a 215 or 225. Each have their benefits.
Of course, downsizing wheels won't look as cool to everyone.
