So I'm wondering if anyone on here is having or experienced the same problems as me.

1. Basically every now and then. I get a rough idle. It goes something like this...
sitting at idle ( looking at the tach) needle drops below 500 then jumps up. Does this randomly sometimes 3-5 times in a row.

2. I'm driving along, and whether I down shift or just put the car in neutral my revs stay at 1000 rpm. It doesn't matter if I step on the clutch or not. It stays there till I come to a complete stop. In wondering if this is normal? My clutch switch is plugged in.

Those are symptoms of the computer taking a fart.

Sometimes the computer when it's receiving all the signals from the many sensors has a little conniption which results in the blurp.

If this starts to happen quite regularly, the CEL will come on, or should come on.

Regardless, with the motor doing it steadily, a call to the dealer for an appointment needs to happen.

problem 1 happens sometimes. Not enought to concern me. Problem 2 with the RPM staying at 1000 after stepping on the clutch or putting it in neutral unitl I come to a complete stop happens all day everyday. Is that normal?

My RPM idles at around 1200 RPM or so and only goes down to 1000 if I leave it in a high gear at slow speeds without disengaging the clutch to neutral.
Call up your Hyundai dealer they may have an answer for ya.

I never have either of those problems.

My VT has a very consistent idle RPM under all conditions.

Every great once in awhile the idle dips just a little and immediately recovers - but it is never rough.

You should have that checked out by the dealer.

Any update or news to this story? Happens to me very often as well.

2. Is normal. when your rolling over 1mph the car raises idle to 1k. I have had #1 happen to me but its usually after I turn AC on.

I have the same symptoms on my car also. It has always stayed around 1k then gone down to 730s after complete stop. so I doubt thats an issue. but when I turn my AC on it does the first thing. drop to maybe 600ish then back to 720 then sometimes up past that to arouns 850. goes up and down while AC is on. after AC is turned off I dont have these issues anymore.

That's perfectly normal.

The a/c compressor is not always running when the a/c is turned "on".

The compressor is a "demand run" appliance In that it only runs when it is needed.

So, when the compressor clicks "on" the initial reaction of the engine to the load will be to slow down

to which the ECU will react and power up the engine slightly. When the compressor clicks "off" the

engine, now free of the load will speed up a bit, to which the ECU will slow the engine down to idle speed.

It doesnt always do it tho. if it did that every time then I wouldnt be too worried about it. IDK ill try and see if theres a common time or engine temp when it does it.

I've been getting #1 symptom, a lttle more frquently than I want. Car has 3500m, always filled with 93vpower. Not really concerned if its an occasional blip, but with all the issues that seem to be popping up with injectors etc. I'd be curious to know what is causing this. Gonna mention it to my dealer but you know how that goes, if they dont hear it, it doesnt exist.
there is a whining noise coming from the rear like under the seat. Would that be the fuel pump or faulty sending unit. Think I read here somewhere there were issues with that. That sound has me more worried than the other.

I searched so this is why I'm bumping an old thread.

I noticed my car, immediately after getting gas, has a tough idle. It stumbles a little and I can hear it in my exhaust and feel it. Happened about 5 minutes after filling up. This is the first time I've used non-BP gas; I used Sheetz.

I was panicking for a bit until I saw this thread. Chalk it up to Hyundai being cheap as hell and nothing majorly wrong with the car.
