Secret Compartment

So I keep looking at that big empty space by the USB port and I keep thinking, wouldn't it be great to have some sort of secret door there?

I guess I equate it to the Elantra, there is a door that pulls down and hides all the stuff by the USB port.

Does anyone know of any after market kit that does this?

I was actually thinking of doing a DIY do make some sort of hidden tray. I'd rather just leave an iPod nano down there connected at all times, but I'd like for it to be hidden too.

Thoughts?

For me that area was kind of useless. I mounted my navi in there and the area behind hides the wires. I do like the idea about a secret compartment. There is a lot of room under the console for a another compartment. Vehicle Car Gear shift Technology Center console

How comfortable is your GPS unit down there? I couldn't reach my iPhone easily enough when I had it there, so I put a mount next to the start button...
It works out great for me. I have room to type The navi is a 5" display so its much bigger then your iphone.
I love that area. It is where I put my cables and sunglasses. I wish the bottom material was softer so that my stuff didn't slide around as much.

Try this:
Amazon.com: Handstands Super Size Sticky Pad - Black: Electronics

It is very thin and flexible so you can either just put it in and fold the edges under or trim to fit. I also used in in the rear cup holder area and also trimmed a piece for the driver door (handle pull area?, not the storage area on bottom of door) and keep change in there. The 'sticky' keeps stuff from moving around pretty well, even with spirited driving. I was going to use it for the cup holders but went a different route...

That was one of the first things I got when i bought my car. I put my phone and wallet down there.
I have toyed with the idea of mounting a holster to the inside of that cubby for my xd40sc but I decided that I didn't want to drill into the console itself with only 3k miles on the car....
Whaddya know...

Hyundai sent me a couple gifts for being part of their Think Tank site - one was a little backpack thing and the other was a silicone cell phone holder/mat thing!

It is too small for my Galaxy SII but I can cut the lip a little to make it fit. The neatest part is how it holds the phone up perpendicularly so you can see the display while you are driving.

Thanks Hyundai!
